Elizabeth's Early Learning Center

As a part of my internship at Jefferson Lightsmith, I was a member of the design team tasked with lighting the new clear-story in the Stella Tanner's Treehouse addition to the center.  The fixture had to not only offer functional cove lighting but also serve as an aesthetic statement tying into the treehouse theme of the addition. I was in charge of initial concept development and translating the design concepts into a usable CAD form that could be utilized in fabrication.  The completed installation included 20 suspended leaves of various native varieties and 52 feet of LED cove designed to mimic the trunk and branches of the Dogwood.  In addition to site challenges we met a demanding timeline and a very constrained installation window to deliver an impressive fixture that met the center's budget and exceeded all expectations.

Jefferson Surgical Clinic- Fallowater Location

Anchored Interiors partnered with Hughes and Associates Architects on this commercial remodel to create a seamless design while meeting the timeline and the budget set by the client. Anchored Interiors was responsible for selecting all of the finishes throughout the space. Grays and soft hues of blue and green complimented by contemporary finishes were used throughout the space to create a calming environment for patients.

Student Housing Project

For this project, students were challenged to create a design for student housing. Several of the requirements included meeting ADA compliancies, a room that promotes self expression, and a room that allows for privacy and a place to study. I chose to create a room with lofted beds with a desk located underneath the bed to give the students a private space that they could make their own. I incorporated hues of blue and neutral colors into the space to give it a tranquil, inviting feel and leave room for student expression. I created a rendered floor plan and 3D perspective model of the space using SketchUp, accompanied by hand rendered concept sketches and finishes.

Tiny House Project

For this project I was challenged to create a tiny house that included required elements such as storage, guest sleeping, and felt spacious. I was inspired by the beach and the ability to travel that a tiny house offers by creating a design that incorporated soft hues of ocean colors  and sandy whites. I met the challenges of a lack of storage by utilizing the unused space under the staircase to create hanging and drawer storage. I used a sleeper sofa that is both stylish and comfortable for when guests visit. The relaxing, cool color pallet and open concept design created a home that was airy and inviting.
